One construction, every lamp
Every Loomiosa pendant is built the same way: coloured, anodised aluminium tubes held in a 3D-printed bracket that sets their sequence and gives the lamp its shape. This page explains the two materials that make it work.
Anodised aluminium tubes
The outer shade is built from anodised and painted high-quality aluminium tubes. Anodising gives the surface its glossy, durable colour, while the tube construction keeps the whole lamp remarkably light, which is why even the largest pendants can hang from a standard ceiling point. Five finishes are available: Pearl, Grey, Black, Orange and Dark Green.
The 3D-printed bracket
The part that defines each lamp is the polyamide bracket the tubes are mounted in. It is 3D printed using Multijet Fusion (MJF) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), technologies chosen because they can produce the complex geometry that sets each tube at exactly the right position and angle. The bracket is then surface-treated. Change the bracket, and you change the lamp: this is how one construction produces nine different families.
3D-printed ceiling cover
The pendant hangs from a textile-covered cable finished with a ceiling cover that is 3D printed in polyamide, just like the bracket, in black or white. Other cable lengths are available on request. Most models use an E27 socket with LED bulbs only (max 12 W); the Delta and Quadra run on GU10 spots, and the Libra has a built-in LED module.
Made by hand. Parts of every lamp are made by hand, so colours, shapes and finishes may vary slightly between pieces. We work to keep those differences small. But each lamp is, in a literal sense, individual.
